The reconciliation starts with an overview of your bank accounts, so you can see at a glance where a reconciliation is outstanding.

Bank reconciliation
Reconcile bank transactions against Maconomy
Transactions are pulled from the bank and posted lines are pulled from Maconomy, then the two sides are matched automatically.
- Both sides retrieved automatically, with no files to move by hand
- Entries with the same amount and date matched without manual work
- Bank transactions on one side, Maconomy lines on the other
- What is left on the bank side has not been posted in Maconomy yet
Closing the period
Reconcile, then start the next statement
Once every transaction in the period has been handled and reconciled, the period is closed and the next one can begin.
- Selecting Reconcile closes the relevant period in Maconomy
- All transactions in the period handled before it is closed
- A new statement is created for the following period afterwards
- A well-defined workflow from single transaction to closed period
